Lumsden creates retail environments for the world’s most admired museums and galleries, hot ticket visitor and cultural attractions, and unique retailers of all sizes and budgets.
Working with our clients, we design bespoke stores tailored to their brand and its environment, to their customer and to the product. Each functions – beautifully – to suit the shopper, the staff and the commercial objectives of sales, average transaction and spend per visitor through managing customer flow, digital integration, stock, storage and queue management.
Our common objective is a commercially successful retail space where the visitor’s experience enjoyably and effortlessly extends from gallery, exhibition or entertainment to active participation by buying a memory or gift.
From concept to installation, our design blends the practicality of the nuts and bolts of retail with a deep insight into how various audiences shop a store – and how they shop online or use mobile technology.
Team players all, we creatively collaborate with our clients, forging productive alliances with them and with partners such as architects and contractors.
There is one shared goal – a brilliant shop that performs brilliantly.
